Indian warship INS Tabar was a part of a two-day train with French frigate FNS Aquitaine and 4 Rafale fighter plane of the French Navy within the Bay of Biscay final week, officers stated on Monday.
A variety of operations together with anti-submarine and air defence drills, replenishment at sea and firing had been exercised by the ships, they stated.
“INS Tabar, on completion of the port go to to Brest, France undertook maritime partnership train with FNS Aquitaine, a French naval Frigate within the Bay of Biscay on July 15 and 16,” Indian Navy spokesperson Commander Vivek Madhwal stated.
“A twin-engine helicopter (NH 90) from FNS Aquitaine and 4 Rafale fighter plane from French Navy additionally participated within the train,” he stated.
The official stated the train was mutually helpful in enhancing interoperability and consolidating mixed operations in opposition to maritime threats.
