This yr marks the primary time hemp will be grown in Indiana as a business crop. The sector day goals to assist growers navigate industrywide challenges together with economics, rules and productions.
Marguerite Bolt, Purdue Extension’s hemp manufacturing specialist; Don Robison, Indiana state chemist seed administrator; Janna Beckerman, Extension plant pathologist; and Kevin Gibson, Purdue weed scientist; will lead classes for present and potential hemp growers, educators and anybody concerned about studying extra about hemp manufacturing and analysis.
The in-person subject day will convene at Meigs Purdue Ag Heart, 9101 S. 100 E., Lafayette, Indiana. The half-day program will repeat with the primary session beginning at 8:15 a.m. ET and the second at 1 p.m. There’s a $31 charge for attendees.
